I am a wannabe vagabond poet--ready to travel the world but my shoes aren't even tied. To write is to participate in an act of creation somewhere in between the "spontaneous overflow of emotion" and the careful discovery with which Michelangelo chiseled David out of the stone. Furthermore, this act of creation, as a human endeavor, can only be a reflection of the act of a more powerful Creator. If this makes me a Romantic, a sculptor, and a Christian, then those things I'll be, because write I must.
