I believe in stories, especially stories based in truth; these are the ones that have real meaning for me. I truly enjoy losing myself in a novel, but I prefer to find myself again and again in true life stories — let's call it reality literature, since everyone knows what reality TV is.

There are so many stories about people that never drew one breath!

Now a lot of talent is consumed in bringing those stories forth. Is it going against the grain too much to clamor for a bit of attention, praise and yes, for honoring those who came before us and helped make us who we are today?

I'm sure the talent and the will exists to write these stories. If not, these people, your personal unsung heroes, will become by default just another brick in the wall.
