A little advice for everyone—if you're considering giving your OC a mental health disorder but don't fully understand how it works or how to portray it accurately, please reconsider. It's not a good idea—ever.
If you’re unsure of what you're doing. Simply looking up a brief description online and basing your depiction on that isn’t enough.
Lately, I’ve come across some authors attempting to give their OCs dissociative identity disorder, and unfortunately, their execution completely missed the mark.
I get that some of you may have been inspired by Mutsumi from BanG Dream! Ave Mujica, who suffers from the exact same disorder. However, the way how that character develops DID is far more realistic compared to how some fanfic authors handle it.
Please be more considerate—these are serious topics and should not be tackled with lightly, not just thrown into a story for the sake of making it "edgy."
If you’re going to include it, make sure it makes sense. Otherwise, Just don't do it.

@SoloKouhai i'm glad you're taking that into consideration. It's just pretty messed up that some people just use these in their stories as if their tools to make their character look better

@phynixfly_order After reading this, I 100% agree. Having said I deleted "that" chapter and will have to do some rewriting. It's good you're bringing awareness to a disorder many people have to deal with.

After some careful thinking. I have decided that I will start working on Oshi no Ko: Phoenix as soon after I graduate from college.
This story deserves focus and serious dedication. And it will require me to put all my thought into it. Researching, character analysis and so on.
I don't want to work on the story right away in the middle of my college struggles. And I most certainly don't want a certain stalker/creep indulging on it.
You know who you are.
That being said. I do hope you'll be patient with me. I'm someone who writes stories with care and I don't want to end up disappointing you with a half-assed story.

@phynixfly_order That's a very sensible way to approach this. Please do not feel pressured to do so, and only work when you feel the time is right. As you have told me before, work at your own pace and nobody else's. Plus, don't feel there's any lurking expectations from me or anything. The story entirely belongs to you now, full ownership. Focus on your college work and the importance of that.
