Maya Joyner here! My work explores themes related to love, loss, womanhood, and whatever the hell is on my mind. My preferred structures are poetry and short story, but I hope to continue to push myself in interesting new directions. I have to self-published poetry/story collections available via Amazon: "Pieces of September," which is an exploration of the universal nature of losing innocence, and "Two Such Lovers," a memoir about a wonderful man I loved, who left this Earth too young.
