I am Broken
But my people hold me together.
They hold me when I'm bound to fall apart.
They hold me when I'm angry, sad, or even glad.
The hold me so tight, that I begin to believe I'm fixed.
However they get tired of showing me attention.
They become embarrassed to hold my hand.
They say that they're sorry,
But forgiveness isn't always given upon demand.
They begin to let go, and I start to crumble.
My heart breaks again and again
And my world begins to rumble
You'd think that by all these years,
My skin would be as thick as steel.
However despite my many fears,
My broken heart demands to be mended
And I can not do it by myself
So I let my rules be bended
But bending turns into snapping, grinding into dust,
You'd think by now I'd learn
Not to love, to feel, to trust.
I always mess up my relationships.
They're doomed from the start.
Because their love may be assumed from the lips
But never felt in the heart.
I dread the day that propel I love will leave.
In the beginning they might of even believed they'd stay but
People's hearts will Unknowingly choose to decive.
I dread the day that will come and ill be abandoned once more.
My heart will bleed so much it becomes numb
My cheeks will feel the loveing touches of tears
And my heart will feel the claustrophobic touches of pain
My train of thought will start grinding it's gears
There will be another hole added
To my what was once my heart
My fingers will itch to pick a blade
Draw a picture on something white
My soul will slowly start to fade.
Until someone follows the trail of red
Find me, fixes me, and holds me tight,
Even though I was left for dead.
The pain might disappear for a minute or two
Out of sight, out of mind
But eventually my savior will leave me, they always do.
