Life’s been pretty rough lately and I couldn’t focus on writing — also on a physical level, since I messed up my wrist after slipping on ice. Anyway, I have a lot of chapters coming that I’ve been working on for months. I really hope they still make sense.

Just wanted to say that you’re an amazing writer and have me completely invested in your stories. I just finished reading August which was a masterpiece, and from what I understood a “section” out of the plot of Champagne Problems from Carlos’s point of view. I went to read Champagne problems expecting to find more of this story, but the last chapter just seems to be set yearss earlier than August, and a lot of things that I read in August, haven’t even happened yet in Champagne problems. Since you wrote at the end of August that it wasn’t the end of Lucy’s story, only an insight to Carlos’s mind, I understood that August wasn’t meant to be treated as a sequel revealing new information, or a clarifying ending, but just Carlos’s point of view on an already established story. So I am very confused because in the last published chapter of Champagne problems Lucy had only won some junior trophy, but in August she already has 2 grand slams and has already quit tennis, she has also left Jamal and admitted Carlos as her true love. August seems to be written as if her relationship with Jamal wasn’t all that, that it was always Carlos, she would run to hug him first after a win, he was the only one who could every comfort her, and Adam… It’s written like after all, Carlos was “the one” since always, but that doesn’t seem to align with what’s happening in Champagne problems where it seems that Jamal is the main point. So will we get a continuation from where August has left off? Also how, when, and where, since it seems it can’t be in Champagne problems considering the timeline is set years behind. Maybe I’m just stupid and missing something very obvious but I would really appreciate it if you would clear things up for me because I am so incredibly invested and also confused.
