Wattpad has been hacked!
Meaning there is a chance your personal information has been leaked.
The data that has been leaked: bios, dates of birth, email adresses, genders, geographic locations, IP adresses, names, passwords, social media profiles, user website URLS and usernames.
To me this has already happened and I'm here to help you if the same happened to you.
How to check if you have been pwned or not:
Go to the website Haveibeenpwned.com
And put in the email adress you used for Wattpad
If the outcome whas "Oh no! -- Pwned!"
Then please follow these instructions to save yourself.
1.Go to your google account and press 《Google-accounts seciurity》
Then change your password.
2. Now that you have changed your email password, quikly go back to Wattpad and change your email to another spam account or one that you don't use. If you already had that then you don't have to change it.
3. Then scroll the security google account until you find the apps with acces to your data. Remove the acces from Wattpad.
4. Now go to haveibeenpwned.com/OptOut
There you can get "opt out" which means your email adress gets saved.
5. Put in your email adress and press the "I'm not a robot" button.
After that it'll send you an email, go to that email and press on "Opt-Out Now"
6. Then go to "remove public searchability"
7. After that go check again at haveibeenpwned.com if it still says you have been pwned then repeat these steps until it says otherwise.
