ahhh i came out to my older sister (who doesn’t live with us anymore) and she was super supportive but also confirmed my suspicions of our mom being homophobic so... yeah

i’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately and i think i can now confidently come out and say that i am a lesbian.
no matter how hard i try i just cannot find a man romantically or sexually attractive, nor can i imagine myself spending the rest of my life in a relationship with one. the fact that i even had to try says a lot on its own i think.
i like girls. i am attracted to girls.
it’s been difficult for me to figure it out especially since i live with such a conservative family, and i have no idea if they’d keep me with them if they knew. but as far as i know, the people following me on here are kind people, so i’m grateful i can at least come out and express this here.
it feels really good to finally get it off of my chest!

a post on instagram brought up the chinese government forcing sterilization and abortion onto muslim women and some people in the comments were actually praising china. i feel sick. why are we seen as less than human i can’t take this anymore.

over here, if i wear a hijab in public i’ll be judged and even harassed. and if i did so in a muslim country it would be alright, but there are many extremists and the taliban is still in power and hates women for breathing without a man around. shari’a law still exists. we just can’t win anywhere.
