careful,   vita.   you  might  tear  my  shirt.   (  not  that  they  cared  that  much  about  the  garment,   but  they  did  adore  getting  to  tease  vita  about  such  simple  things. )   i'm  still  close.   you  can  kiss  me,   if  you  lean  up  a  little.

            ( a pout and terribly heartbroken expression is meeting him as he pulls away from them . a whine caught in their throat while a clawed hands reaches up and tugs morte's clothing . )
            
            how cruel . must you tease me so . a proper kiss , beloved . please . 

(  obediently,   they  lean  down   -   closer  and  closer,   until  he's  able  to  press  a  short  kiss  to  their  lips.   only  once.   it's  clearly  intended  to  be  more  teasing  then  anything.  )

            fear ? yes , at the moment they were close enough to be considered afraid . if the way their eyes were nearly pitch black wasn't enough of a indicator of their  tensed state , then their heart trying to pound itself out of theirchest was plenty proof . so , of course they stalled at the ominous door , bare feet planted firmly in place . " insidious , please . what is going on ? you're starting to frighten me . " vita's voice was as equally soft as the other , an underlying plea to it .

            the being waits for the other to follow , soon bringing them towards the depths of the area they remain in . the two now face a door , leading into the cellar beneath them . he gestures for the other to go first , “ ah , if you do not fear what awaits you . . please , you go first . “ he whispers softly , a faint grin forming along his lips .

            their breath hitches , too stunned to even respond , whether it was to the other's word or his touch . vita knew / exactly / what the other meant , something they were too afraid to ever acknowledge . after all , there must be at least one candle left to light the other's . to lead them out of the darkness . they hesitate , just for a moment , before climbing out the bed and following the shadowy figure out of the room .
