Yes! I feel the same way, I think it’s kind of disappointing how much the books have changed since the beginning. It’s not really a good thing, I’m still reading for the same reason, in hopes that the adventure will come back.
I honestly felt like the first two books were amazing and the third book was alright because the main theme wasn't the romance between Rikkard and Lilly but the adventure and battle in defeating Lord Dalgliesh. I loved the books at first but now they don't have that unique quality they had at first.
I read them now so I can finish their story, maybe the adventure will come back. Hopefully.
