currently obsessing and over analysing everything in hannibal (cus wdym they’re gay for each other but don’t kiss, why does this always happen??)

my mom hating on the queer representation (in stranger things) and love stories all together shows me again that it’s such a double morality here, she called it overly dramatic but i remember myself crying and not getting a word out, having to write it down bc i was too embarrassed to be different. now she calls the same fear in an even more hateful and hostile time period overly dramatic? this is exactly why we need more queer representation. bc it’s not only 3-5 percent of society it’s a whole lot more that is afraid of coming out because of hateful people.
@poet_moons yes! I mean, my grandma wouldn't notice, she's not really into watching something different than 'Tatort' but since she's not the only person in our society who thinks that way, representation, also sadly of that discrimination, is super important! Someone who doesn't experience those things (no one should experience that though) will never understand how it is and what it does with you. But, also, it could scare some people to come out because it seems like that discrimination is the norm. So yeah, that's probably the only contra argument I see in that, but STILL it is sooo important to have GOOD representation which shows that not everything is bad about being out as queer. Idk if you understand what I mean but yeah
@seelenzerbrochen yes omg especially if u don’t see the discrimination, representation matters! of all kinds of aspects including homophobia bc it’s important to show how severe this issue is and how much it affects mental health as it’s a literal hate crime

yesterday a year ago i published my first ever book on here, it’s a poetry collection with so many different stories put into them and honestly i’m so grateful for everybody that read it. thanks so much to @minisgradseele that you’ve convinced me to even publish my writing idk if i would’ve ever done that without you. i’m so so happy that i met two of the best people on here @lamentaria @waermedesherzen i genuinely appreciate and love you so so much and i don’t think i would still be on here without you. i know this whole message is cheesy af but i’m literally so amazed by how this whole thing turned out to be, like a year ago my life was so different from now and this platform honestly gave me an opportunity to share experiences in form of writing. SO THANK YOU SO SO MUCH. I LOVE YOU ALL
