* jason , on the other - hand , was over it . he had been over it for quite some time , with the damage being done ever since he took up the mantle of red hood . he could fix bones , he could try to fix the trauma , but the one thing he couldn't fix was the way the man , who at one time , he might've even considered calling his father , looked at him : like a stranger . with unsure , soul - staring eyes , jason caught his gaze , lips pursing ever so slightly * how have you been ?

            * he has to clench his jaw to keep himself composed . it was hard . it was always hard when jason was around . there was guilt that pooled up inside of him and overflowed when they made eye contact . but as always , he keeps his facade calm * jason
