hi everyone, 
          	
          	it’s with a sore heart that i’ve chosen to not re-upload my shanghaied script, as wattpad has made it evident my work is not welcome here. 
          	
          	there is currently a version of my script on AO3 under my handle  “tojisrival”. 
          	
          	whether or not i choose to update the story on AO3 is still undecided, as i do not have the desire nor time to continue writing after this event. it is likely it will not get updated, but piece of it still lives on there for anyone wishing to reread some of it. 
          	
          	as for negative space, it is also with sadness that i must admit i’m choosing to discontinue the work here on wattpad. it has been unpublished, however the same circumstances remain; it’s script is still live on AO3.
          	
          	i will be deleting my wattpad account within the next few days as i no longer contain the desire to host a presence here.

@poisonfemmefatale oh my god I've actually teared up. This has made me so sad, you're such a talented writer Shay, and wattpad has robbed that will from you. They shouldn't be allowed to scare away their consumers like this, it's wrong and unfair. 
          	  
          	  I don't even have words to say but I'm so sorry and I genuinely do wish you all the best in everything you do, it was lovely being mutuals with you, even though it was for a short time, but I always felt like you work had this kind of elegance in its prose that I always and admired and envied. 
          	  
          	  I will most definitely check out your ao3, even though I don't have an account, because negative space was something that really connected me in a way I can't even explain.
          	  
          	  Once again, I'm terribly sorry for this to have happened to you, but you will be dearly missed and your fics will always be remembered!

hi everyone,
          
          shanghaied has been removed from wattpad in an apparent “violation of community guidelines.” 
          they've sent me an automated message stating that they do not restore content removed from this claim, meaning that there is a high possibility my work cannot be re-uploaded. i've also been given the opportunity to appeal against this claim, but the entire thing in of itself is just so off putting, i'm not quite sure where i stand.
          
          i'm terribly sorry it has come to this, my hope isn't as abundant as i'd liked it to be considering how much effort i'd put into that book, but i'll try my best to keep you all updated.

@poisonfemmefatale oh nooooo. This must be so demoralizing for you! Tell me how hundreds of mafia romances with hard-core explicit scenes with millions and millions of reads can be kept online whilst your book can't? Was this a response to a report about your book or have wattpad made the one and effort to hunt down your fic for no reasin? goodness me this is awful.
            
            I'm so sorry about this shay, please don't pressure yourself about needing to bring it back straight away we understand how frustrating this must be for I wouldn't wish this on my enemy oh my days :(

i wish!! can’t release any drafts until either NS or shanghaied is completed, i’ll never finish them otherwise haha! aiming to finish them by the end of summer; so hopefully i can release new stories then :)
