Is it just me ? I feel votes and comments are supposed to be a readers choice...when writers make them transactional and hold chapters hostage it really impacts the joy of reading. Again, only Indian authors do this....
I understand writers put in so much effort to create a story...but aren't the votes supposed to judge the quality of writing?
A note at the end or beginning of the chapter is fine. But why are all the authors setting targets...as if guilt tripping people to vote and comment. Some of us like to remain anonymous...is that too much to ask for...
I know no one is gonna read this ...but I feel really bad when authors bully their readers into voting. This platform wasn't the same a few yrs back. It was entertaining. People who write stories as a hobby used the platform to express themselves. C'mon stop bullying ur genuine readers....or learn how to be polite as well...block rude readers and end it there ....remind genuine readers to vote.
We are also reading stories to find solace after stressful days. It is really frustrating to see the author's notes saying... complete so and so votes and comments otherwise no updates....c'mon guys..it is adding to our stress too...I understand appreciation is the least readers can do ...but why bully?
If we express our thoughts they block. They can't accept criticism but expect readers to like each and every chapter....what nonsense..
