It's been about a week since I've been on here, but I got off work today and got to play with our four week old kitties, which there's six orange ones and six black ones! Anyways, I've also been thinking about starting a 'junk journal', which is a journal you can make yourself, or use an old one! You can even do your own covers, whether it's by book binding, or hole punching and using binder rings to keep it together. I also know people have used sewing machines to sew the two front and back covers together, and then either staple (or, probably sew) the inside pages together. The junk part of the journaling is when you collect "junk". An example could be a gum wrapper, a clothing tag, or even some scrap paper!
Anyways, I want to do a sort of pink/yellow Pokemon theme, because pink and yellow are my two favorite colors, and because I have a bunch of Pokemon stickers I've printed myself! I also want to lean more towards Sylveon and Jirachi/Alolan Raichu (My favorite regional form, besides Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash!) This would be my first time doing my own journal, but the fun part of the junk journal process is just piecing things together as you go along! And, it doesn't have to be completely neat or exact, because it's a JUNK journal! So get as messy as you want in placing things and doing designs :)
I recommend this hobby for anyone who does crafts, and likes giving homemade gifts! I have actually done this once for a friend for Christmas a few years back, and they loved it! It had images from magazines, paperclips, even little paper pockets! We (me and my mom) also dyed some paper with tea and coffee and let it dry to give it an aged look! Absolutely a great hobby to check out, though it can take some getting used to doing, especially if you don't normally do thing "messily" (what I mean when I say this isn't actually "messy", but just not perfect, whether it's different sized pages, or things that seem like they don't fit with the page!)
