—  IN  A  MOURNING  WARNING,   NO  ONE  HEARD.   yet  carrie  did  try.   she  cares  about  the  spirits  like  they're  friends,   and  in  an  au  where  the  boys  do  survive,   she  had  visions  of  what  was  happening.   even  so ,,  no  one  listened  to  her.   to  them,   she  was  crazy —   and  that  was  all.

—  ALL  THE  GHOSTS  THAT  ARE  NEVER  GONNA...  in  operative  au,   however,   carrie  continues  to  connect  with  the  spiritual  realm.   there  are  plenty  of  aus  for  her -  believe  me -   yet  each  one  has  one  common  denominator :   she  feels  helpless  in  the  face  of  all  that  has  happened,   and  it  makes  her  sick  with  herself.

            it  isn't.   {  even  so,   she  lets  it  persist.    it's  difficult  to  place  a  'why'  upon  it  all,   how  she's  become  so  complacent  to  being  hurt  because  it's  an  old  routine.   perhaps  because  she  can't  say  any  of  the  insults  are  wrong.  }    but  they  have  said  these  things  since  kindergarten.    it  would  be  easier  to  convince  them  the  science  teacher  is  a  werewolf  :/

            i  do  not  have  the  energy  to  deal  with  it.   {  lame  as  the  excuse  is,   carrie  can't  pretend  it  isn't  the  bare  bones  of  the  truth.   she  *doesn't*  have  any  energy  to  spare.   at  this  point  in  her  life,   mockery  is  more  of  an  expectancy  than  a  devastating  blow.  }    they  have  always  treated  me  like  this,   ro.   it  could  be  worse -  no  one  has  raised  a  hand  to  me.    yet.
