Omg I haven’t been on this in like years wth but I’m hopping on rn cuz my therapist told me i can use this as an outlet to talk to my inner child about my achievements. I usually don’t like talking about my accomplishments out loud to anyone but since the therapist said, we cannot deny what is good for us!!! With that being said: After many many many years of hard work I’m finally becoming a published author!!!! I signed with a publisher and a great agent after writing my best novel so I’m very proud of myself I’m so excited to see what else 2024 has in store for me and I can’t wait for all the new adventures my life takes ahhhhhh thank you specifically to my biggest supporters: me, myself, and I.

@judiegreat Im on my way back from a business trip so I have more access to my phone right now. That’s why I’m responding so quickly lol. Thank you for all your compliments. it takes time. I first wrote a very extensive high fantasy novel that I queried. It received many rejections and at a certain point I had no motive to continue. Which by the way: you have to really love your story so much that you’re going to go through months to possibly years of pushing it out to people and getting told no. After all the rejections, I gave up on writing and just didn’t care anymore. I lost the passion. That’s when I found my passions in other artistic pursuits and I worked on that. It was a couple of months when I felt a spark to write again. And that’s when I discovered my story. This book I’ve written is literally the love of my life and the love I hold for it is the reason why I didn’t give up. I’m going to be honest my journey is not the same as everyone else’s. try not to compare yourself too much to others. Comparison is truly the thief of joy. my book didn’t take long before I had agents asking to read the manuscript and soon I booked with a top agency and we edited it a little more and sent it to submission. It did go in auction before it was sold to a publishing house. My tips to you: 1) submit to each agent with a personalized letter to them 2) brush off any rejections. It doesn’t define your worth. 3) be delusional. I’m certain if I had kept going, I would’ve gotten a book deal for my first book but I didn’t have the drive for it. No one will ruin your chances at success like yourself. 4) market your book. I started on TikTok after I got my deal. I got lucky. Others don’t. Marketing sucks but lots won’t take a chance on you if they don’t already see a demand for your book. But there you have it!!! If you have any other questions let me know!!!

@pppandora thank you for responding so quickly girl. Congratulations on all your accomplishments OMG!!!!I’m definitely not gonna look for you (I’m lying ). But I do have some questions on how your process was on finding an agent and getting published. I’m an aspiring author and I’ve been trying for years now. I took a break because I had a kid at 17 and then had to settle down with them for a second but he just reached 5 so I’m trying to finally go back to writing again and get my career started in it. How did it all work out for you if you don’t mind me asking?
