I saw someone say that liberal men will treat women better than republican men. 
          
          It wasn’t a republican man who beat me up and s3xually assaulted me when I was 15 because I rejected him.
          
          It wasn’t a republican man who was sent to a juvenile detention center at 15 and let out 2 years later for the crimes above.
          
          It wasn’t a republican man who stalked me once he was released from juvie and killed my dog when I was 17. 
          
          It wasn’t a republican man who keyed my mom’s car and broke into our house to steal my underwear when I was 17. 
          
          It wasn’t a republican man who had his friends watch and stalk me throughout Walmart and then proceed to threaten me when I told them to stop when I was 18. 
          
          It wasn’t a republican man who r@ped me at 19 when I was working a night shift at a local fast food restaurant. 
          
          But…
          
          It was a republican man who taught me that I should be loved. 
          
          It was a republican man who taught me that not all men are gonna raise their hands and hit me. 
          
          It was a republican man who taught me that s3x can be gentle and loving. 
          
          It was a republican man who adopted 2 dogs with me and babies them even thought they are both over 50 pounds. 
          
          It was a republican man who helped me through nursing school and let me practice my nursing skills on him.
          
          It was a republican man who has made the last 3 years of my life amazing and he is the man I am proud to say is my husband and the father of our 1 year old boy.
          
          (Also so no one asks, I know the man who stalked me from 15-19 is liberal because he used to post about liberal politics and say how much he supports it.)
