Dare Schell has always been the outcast of her family, school, and society. Dare's life is a emotional wreck, and that's an understatement. Dare's mom not only admits that she is her least favorite, but treats her unforgivably. She can't be around her siblings without feeling envy, her mother allows them whatever they want, without a father to raise her. It's no different at school, Dare has no friends. Any friend she's ever had has left without a trace, by that I mean they always leave without a reason, never to speak to her again. In society's eyes Dare is an attention-seeker, she's too pure, since she's a virgin she thinks she's too good, and because she's nice she's a fake. Atleast that's what society says about her, and that's what people believe. The only place she finds comfort in is at an old oak tree she stumbled along in the woods one day. The soothing whispers of the wind is what keeps her going everyday. But what is the mysterious truth behind the soothing wind?
