Today was the day. The first day at Mosaic University—home of the genetically gifted, the beautiful, the shiny-haired, and... me. Not that I ever imagined I’d be one of the few, well, only human in a sea of pointy ears, fur-covered arms, and tails. But here I was, a poor kid from the back end of nowhere, about to walk into the most prestigious institution for hybrids... and pray that the mail wouldn’t deliver the worst possible news.
