A Farewell to the Graphic Novel Version of Bathala Strain
After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to discontinue the graphic novel version of Bathala Strain.
I truly enjoyed creating it. It was fun while it lasted, and I’m grateful for every moment spent building this version of the story. But lately, it has become almost impossible to gain even a single view. Some of the back chapters still have single-digit views or reads, even though they have been posted for more than a month.
As of the moment, we have released 59 chapters of the story, and we have already written up to Chapter 69. I will still make the remaining chapters available, but some of them may be released without images and will continue as text-only chapters.
For now, I will be focusing on continuing the story itself and putting every effort into the WEBTOON version, which has a more stable readership and where each chapter is being viewed more consistently.
To everyone who supported the graphic novel version, thank you so much. Whether you read one chapter, followed from the beginning, reacted, shared, or simply gave Bathala Strain a chance, I truly appreciate you.
This is not the end of Bathala Strain. It is only a shift in where the story will continue to grow.
You can still follow the story every Wednesday and Thursday here:

Thank you for being part of the journey.

I understand, and I really respect that. I think it’s beautiful that Wattpad became that kind of safe space for you.
For me, I guess I just realized the platform isn’t really the right fit for how I create and manage my time. But I truly appreciate your kind words, and I wish you the best too with your writing, your startup, and everything ahead. ❤️

@prinzmilo I treat Wattpad as my therapy because it once pulled me out of depression and I also have a startup that I have to give most of my time on weekdays. But I just can't let Wattpad go because this was what stayed when there was nothing. That's it. I hope you have a good journey ahead in any platform you try next. ❤️

Thank you for this. I really appreciate the advice, and I understand where you’re coming from.
I think what I realized, though, is that it’s not really about the replies or the lack of interaction alone. It’s more that the platform itself may not be for me, based on my style, schedule, and how I naturally create and share my work.
@theconfusedsoul25 I’m working most of the time, and this project is honestly something I do as a personal pastime. I also have a business, a day job, and other responsibilities outside the platform, so I don’t always have the convenience or time to constantly talk, interact, or take reading requests the way others can. There’s also a living world outside the platform that I need to attend to.
I do understand that interaction helps a lot, and I respect creators who are able to do that consistently. But not everyone has the same time, energy, or convenience to approach the platform that way.
So for me, I think it’s less about blaming the platform or the readers, and more about accepting that this particular platform just isn’t the right fit for how I create and manage my time.
Still, I genuinely appreciate your advice and the time you took to share it.
