even though it might be subtle, micro-aggression towards people who don't fit into societal "norms" make sure that POC, the LGBT+ community and other "minorities" continue to be marginalized and overlooked, especially in the media. 

project new americana is a movement named after the halsey song, and focuses on embracing the open diversity in youth of today, created in order to increase knowledge and representation of otherwise underrepresented groups in all genres. 

it's time that we make OUR lives everyone's problem! it's time to share our lives through characters, stories and poetry.
