Aanya, stop," Adwait said, his voice slightly louder now, laced with warning.

She could see it-he was about to snap. Yes, yes, now he'll lose it, she thought, a thrill sparking in her chest.

But instead of reacting with anger, Adwait simply leaned back in the chair, eyes locked on hers. Then, without a word, he began to unbutton his shirt-slowly, deliberately-each movement exaggerated, until he yanked it off and tossed it aside.

Aanya's eyes widened. Her jaw dropped. Shock flooded her face.

"Ahhh! Shameless!" she shouted, spinning on her heel and making a dash for it.

But he was faster. Adwait stood in a flash, reached out, and caught her wrist mid-stride. She turned, her hand already balled into a fist, aiming straight for his face. But he caught it mid-air.

In one smooth motion, he twirled her under his arm like a dancer, then leaned in and pressed a bold kiss to her left cheek.

Her mouth dropped open again-outrage, disbelief, and something else flickering in her eyes.

She didn't hesitate. This time she lifted her knee, aiming for his stomach, but he caught her leg with ease. Sliding one arm under her knee and the other around her waist, he bent her slightly backward in a dramatic dip. Before she could wriggle free, he kissed her right cheek.

          Then-thud.

          He let go.

Aanya landed squarely on the floor, right on her backside.

Crossing his arms over his bare chest, Adwait looked down at her, a smug smile playing on his lips.

          "You lost," he said.

@imanukb @imanukbYrr, I'm so glad to know you still care, and I'm really sorry for making you all wait while I kept saying I'd start writing soon. To be honest, I've been stuck in circumstances that were completely out of my control. My brother and I shared the same phone because I don't have a personal one. First, I was busy with my exams in April, and then my brother needed the phone for his exams in May, so I gave it to him for studying. I kept thinking that once his exams were over, I'd finally begin writing again, especially because I had so many new ideas. My father even took us to Delhi and Noida for my brother's exam, and I spent the trip observing everything and collecting inspiration for the book, excited to come home and start writing. But while we were returning, someone stole the phone from my brother's pocket, and we never got it back. Since then, I've been trying to use Wattpad on my mother's phone through my Google account, but the phone hangs constantly, overheats, and sometimes takes almost 15 minutes just to open the app, making writing nearly impossible. That's why I've barely been online. My father is trying to find a second-hand phone, but it's taking time, and honestly, sometimes I feel like crying because I finally have the ideas and motivation to write but not the proper way to do it. Still, I want you all to know that I haven't forgotten this story or any of you. In fact, these past few months made me realize that the book I thought might be a failure was actually a success because even after being gone for so long, you're still here waiting for it. That means more to me than I can explain. Thank you for your patience, your support, and your love. As soon as I get a phone or a way to write properly again, I'll be back, and I'll start writing. Please wait for me a little longer. Love you more ❤️
