Nik was sitting at a table outside of Mystic Grill, he was writing in his notebook, taking notes for his English examine, a little frustration would hit him, he had to keep it cool, being a werewolf/witch hybrid isn't easy. He looks at his watch and his eyes widen slightly. "Shit." he mutters under his breath as he closes his notebook. He gets up and begins to walk but bumps into the woman, his notebook hitting the ground. "Crap, sorry." he apologizes as he bends down and picks his notebook up from the ground. "You look familiar..." he trails off as he tries to remember. "I've heard my uncles talk about someone who looks like you..."

There was a tensing along her back when she had stumbled into someone. Tatia's eyes snapped to the man before her, tilting her head to the side at the sight. He looked rather stressed, but his words were something else entirely. "Who are your uncles if I might ask?' she found herself questioning. Had she met anyone else as of recently who looked like this boy? She couldn't remember

The classroom smelled faintly of paint and charcoal, sunlight pouring across scattered sketchbooks in long golden streaks. Evelyn stood near the easel with rolled sleeves and paint smudged across her fingers, entirely focused on adjusting a canvas before the quiet shift in the room made her pause.

She glanced over her shoulder, brow lifting slightly at the figure lingering in the doorway.

“Well,” she said lightly, setting her brush aside, “you’re either terribly lost or far more curious than everyone else around here.”

For a moment, Evelyn simply stared. The brush slipped from between her fingers, rolling softly across the edge of the table before falling against a pile of charcoal pencils. She hardly noticed. It was impossible. Not Elena. Not Katherine. Older somehow. Softer. Like looking at the memory of a face she had only ever seen reflected through centuries of stories and bloodlines. Tatia. Evelyn felt the name before she fully understood it. Her expression shifted — not fear, not suspicion, but something quieter. Awe, perhaps.

“You…” she breathed, almost laughing at herself as she pushed a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. “That’s unfair, actually” a warm smile tugged unexpectedly at the corner of her mouth then, softening the visible shock in her eyes “I’ve spent years looking at faces that belonged to women long dead,” she admitted, stepping away from the easel. “You start to forget what it feels like to be surprised by one.”

At Tatia’s confession about the school, Evelyn’s expression brightened faintly — amused now despite herself “you picked an interesting place for a first visit,” she said lightly. “Most people usually start with grocery stores or churches.”

She moved carefully around the tables scattered with paint water and unfinished sketches before stopping a few feet away from her. There was no hostility in Evelyn. Only curiosity “Tatia,” Evelyn repeated gently, like testing the shape of the name aloud. “Well… I’m Evelyn” a pause.

“You should know,” she added with quiet honesty, “walking into an art classroom looking like the origin of an entire supernatural catastrophe is a very bold choice” but she laughed softly after saying it, making it clear it wasn’t accusation. Only truth. Then, tilting her head slightly, Evelyn studied her once more.

“So,” she asked warmly, “what does someone who’s apparently never been inside a school go looking for in one?”

It was Elena and Katherine's face, but the one that stood before her held no recognition in her eyes. She didn't know the woman before her and yet the face of familiarity was one of the most devastating parts about it.

Tatia had been exploring for some time, but unlike her descendant and ancestor she didn't make a show when she got caught. Didn't get defensive. No...

She laughed when Evelyn realized that someone was there. She stepped through the classroom door, rubbing at her arm with a bit of an embarrassed smile.

"I never been to a school." She finds herself admitting. "Even I don't know how I got in here, if I am honest with you." She walked towards the woman tipping her head to the side. "You look like you know me...but I'm not someone you know." She finds herself saying

            "My name is Tatia."

Icarus was speechless, the woman who he grew up with in the 10th century is alive, right in front of him. "Ta- Tatia?" he stutters slightly, surprised of her being alive again. "I'm sorry. It's just, it's been a thousand years since I last saw you!" he admits as he stops working on his motorcycle, the wrench falls onto the concrete sidewalk. He'd heard she was alive again from Henrik, his best friend, but didn't think it was true. Until today. "I- I mean I'm glad your back, I just don't understand how, though."

Icarus brushed his hands through his hair. "Sorry. I'm rambling, aren't I?" he chuckles, he rarely rambles. "You probably have a lot of questions you want to ask me, so, go ahead."

"You stole it?" She found herself whispering to him, looking rather surprised by his words. However, Tatia soon began to giggle, shaking her head as she wasn't so surprised by his words afterwards. "Why am I surprised? I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Icarus." She finds herself saying

She listened, reaching out to place a hand on his shoulder gently squeezing it. "I promise to keep my eye on her. I also met Elena, she is a nice person." She explained, a smile spreading across her face as she found herself relaxing in his presence.

"Ah, I don't think I've met your doppelgangers as of yet. However I'm sure that they sound...lovely. Stefan I may get along with." She looked up at him

"Henrik, their youngest brother is my best friend, the first to turn me." Icarus replies as he grabs the new engine that he / borrowed / , the truth is, is that he stole it. He sighs as she looks at the new engine. "Okay, I'll admit, just between you and I..." he trails off, his voice lowering to a whisper. "I stole it." he whispers then raises his voice again. "Don't ask why and yes, I compelled the guy that I paid for it." he says truthfully, he wasn't the one who likes lying, he always sides with the truth, even though he had told a few small lies over the centuries.

"I am so going to kill her." he says as his knuckles turn white, surprisingly while not breaking the engine or crushing it. "Careful with her, she's manipulative and deadly. Loves to screw people over before she kills them." he says, knowing her and how she works. "Now Elena? She's nice, like you." he smiles as he grabs the wrench and starts putting the new engine on.

"My descendant and doppelganger Stefan is quite... like me. In a way. Seeing as we both have two sides to us." he says as he looks at her. "Tom on the other hand is... normal." he adds as he just recently met Tom, his descendant and doppelganger in Atlanta.

"She's a spitfire, I'll give her that." Tatia commented, shaking her head as she turned her eyes back towards Icarus. "She tried to intimidate me recently, I must have provoked her because she grabbed me by the shirt. I don't know if that has her sights on me or not." She knew it was dangerous to be admitting this, but her last interaction with Katherine had her feeling a little bit. She turned her head towards Icarus. "Is that so? Have you been close to them?"

She nodded her head, letting out a small chuckle at his words. "If I were to find a man worthy of my love you will be the first to know, Icarus. I would never let you be in the dark about it." She straightened her posture before a huge beaming smile spreads across her face. "You're like my big brother, I'm glad you still see me as such."
