One of the main reasons I am hesitant to try another platform is the issue of theft. Wattpad, I have found, that Wattpad offers the best protection for creators' stories. It really takes a lot of effort for someone to steal another person's work on this app. Other website -ehem AO3- does not have that kind of protection. Someone could very easily just come in and steal a story I spent hours writing and just plop their name on it. I am very scared of this idea.
          A second, and honestly very important reason: reach. I don't have as much experience with posting content anywhere else but Wattpad, but from the limited research I have, this is really the best place to share your stories for people to actually see. I know it makes me sound like a nobhead, only caring about the views, but let's be honest; nobody wants to work hard on something nobody will see. It is very demotivating to see a story you worked hard on to only get 3 views, and as a person who struggles to feel motivation to post in the first place, it would completely tear me away from writing entirely.
          my third reason I am a bit iffy about switching platforms, the community I have built here. I have been writing on this account for coming up on 4 years now. That is a lot of time. Some of you might have even been here since the original Wilbur soot smutbook, back when the name of my account was “fakename24”. I know I don't have that many followers, but the fact that I have been here, still writing for years really means something to me. I would be really sad to leave this account behind. 
          
          If anybody has any advice on what I should do, please so share. I could use as much help as I can get right now. 
          
          If this is the last time you hear from me, I would just like to say thank you for the years of fun memories, and I hope you always enjoyed the stories while they were up.

Hey! I don't know if any of you noticed, but my Chris Sturniolo smut book got taken down earlier this month. I'm a little confused about why this happened, but that's besides the point. The point of the matter is: What should I do about my smut writing?
          I really enjoy writing smut, it's the only type of stories I write. Over the years I have had many smut books, that of which have all been taken down. I'm not sure of the exact TOS of wattpad regarding smut, but I was under the impression that, as long as it was not crazy or involved anything illegal, smut was allowed. I have read many stories including smut on wattpad before, so I am unsure why mine books keep getting taken down. Although the team did send me a message saying that they were taking it down for the sexual content, they were not very explicit about the true cause of the story being removed.
          Now there are two ways I could go with this. I have started a new smut book, yet to be released, but I am now afraid that if will be taken down in a few months if I post it here. I could 1. Continue to post my stories here and save them somewhere else (I have learned my lesson on not saving my chapters after spending literally day on them just for all trace of them to be deleted), and just hope for them to not to/wait for them to take it down, OR 2. I could try posting somewhere else (AO3, Tumblr, Etc.) and see if that works better.
          I know it seem stupid to continue trying to write my smut here when it has not worked well for me in the past, but there is a lot to say on that. I will explain in the next thread.
