Paula Walden is a literary and children fiction author. She has been creating stories for many years.
Paula is a self proclaimed observer of life. "It's the small things that people often overlook that make ordinary events extraordinary. It's our human interaction and reactions that give these events life."
Paula draws on her professional and personal experiences and observations to create character driven stories in her literary fiction. In her children's books she strives to provide character building tools that is so important in a child's early development.
Paula has worked in the newspaper industry for over 20 years. The majority of that time she worked her way up in the marketing and advertising area, from artist to manager. Prior to that she had held positions as a trainer for people with developmental disabilities and as a certified nursing assistant while attaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Those positions allowed her to work with a variety of people. Her experiences with so many personalities trying to work together, be successful, and even fight over petty differences have shown Paula a wide variety of human wants and desires.
On a personal note, Paula has been married for over 30 years to her high school sweetheart. She has three grown sons, a daughter-in-law and four grandchildren. She also has a happy, comical little dog. Although, most would claim he favors her husband over her. She enjoys the blessing she has been given and she tries to be open to learning even from the most unlikely sources.

"We are strands woven within the canvas of life and our life's experiences create the pigment to paint with." ~ Paula Walden
