@pxgues4L | I usually plot / draft out my chapters on google docs for the spelling check, grammar check and word count. It makes it easier to copy and paste it once it’s done and upload to my wattpad / a03 / etc. But, you don’t have to use google docs, you can use word doc, etc. Plus, if you wanna share it with a friend to read you can add them to the document before uploading to wattpad / a03 / etc.
I suggest getting a piece of paper and writing out a basic time line ( key events - Rook’s Rest, Blood and Cheese, etc. Connections to the tv show or books based on whatever you are following - Helaena dies six months after Blood and Cheese, this affects OC in bla bla way, etc. Ideas - OC kisses character, etc. ) it makes it easier to follow / look back on to make sure everything makes sense.
I also highly suggest you write out your OC on a paper, flesh them out with little traits and details. ( chewing on their lip, they always look at love interest when they enter a room, their cheeks flush when they lie, etc. ) You can also write little info / headcannons for them. ( What song is most like them / their vibe, what they smell like, what reminds you of them, etc. )
