I am truly disappointed in Wattpad. It started out as a platform for creative minds alike to read and write freely, but now it’s just so restrictive and suffocating. It was never like this when I joined 5 years ago. Over the past years, I have seen ads, premium membership, paid stories being introduced. And also following that, a (great) author pulling their story from Wattpad platform and switching to another platform, their reason being that Wattpad though they are “collecting” money from all those ads etc, not a single cent goes to the authors, that it is unfair to them. However, though the ads etc (plus also how difficult it was to earn coins the videos never played) were irritating but I was still willing to put up with it. I still stayed loyal because some of Wattpad stories have really impacted me. Now though, the new offline restriction to 2 books is the last straw for me. To me, Wattpad has lost its way — the foundation that it was made and built on — and I sincerely hope they reflect on this.

A solid, strong female lead (who does not talk dumbly to herself). It was very refreshing and not cliche though there were a few cringe moments. The terms of endearment used for each other was slightly odd when it first started out being used — it took some time to get used to. Maximus character could have came out more at the start. Overall, one of the more outstanding stories I have read so far with sound English.
