Fucked up things that happened in most peoples childhoods that I didn't realize were bad until today part 2. TW: MENTION OF ED, FAT SHAMING AND 'BEAUTY STANDARD'. This one is less about how kids treated each other and more about how messed up the school system is. So yeah, basically anything that health/P.E. teachers ever taught about 'healthy' diets. They were literally promoting eating disorders and I have proof. 1. They would show diagrams where people who ate anything minorly unhealthy as fat. 2. They would tell us to limit our portions if we ate one big meal like seriously wtf?! 3. Last but definately not least they would show us people (specifically girls) who fit the impossible beauty standard and told us that if we didn't eat healthy we were ugly. Like seriously, they literally promoted 'skinny is beautiful fat is ugly' and none of us even noticed. The school system really is fucked.

Welcome to fucked up things that happened in most people's childhoods that I didn't realize were bad until today! (I want to see how long I can make this). Do you guys remember when you were a kid and the whole 'crybaby' saying was a thing? Yeah, that was really fucking harmful. People at my school would call kids this if they cried even once in front of people, sometimes even if they just got close to crying! Not only is this making fun of someone who is in a lot of emotional distress, it's also inforcing that kids should hide emotions from others at a young age. Like seriously, to this day I hate crying in front of people and I just figured out that this is part of the reason. So yeah this shit really messes up how a kid displays emotion.
