ken had trouble with rambling. that was a fairly obvious assumption to make. he doesn't often do it around people he's barely acquainted with, but kamimura has made a lasting impression — so much so , that it felt easy to talk to him. minor fun facts turned into an indepth explanation into his studies. and when kazutoshi didn't respond, that indepth explanation turned into notes about the students. that escalated to talking to said students, and so on.
hasegawa wasn't exactly comfortable talking to himself like this, but he liked being with the crime scene cleaner. so, it was okay.
even when kazutoshi didn't care, or wasn't listening, or wasn't responding, he always made an effort. it was more admirable than anybody else that put up with him.
" ... o-oh, i was just talking about the others. i don't know how a group like this can manage in a space this small. " he replied, smiling back at kazutoshi's ... attempt of a smile. he was about to clarify, but his words get caught in his throat as his hand gets gently gapsed. he softens his eyes in surprised, staring.
" ... o-oh.. oh, s-sorry, i didn't know i was staring. sorry. "
