Strangely I can't answer the comment on the story within the story iteself, so I'm replying this way. Obviously a Wattpad glitch.
          
          @quin2020 @DaddyEvil Well, with two of you ganging up on me I'll remove half of them. I want it to be noticeable. Strangely no one has pointed out the other character who keeps saying, 'with one thing and another'. Why does, 'know what I mean' have more of an annoying impact?

@quin2020 but as I said to @DaddyEvil it was based on a real person. This is my character repeating an annoying phrase, not me. I have a brother-in-law who is forever repeating 'what with one thing and another'  - we went down to the shops and what with one thing and another we were late back etc. 
            
            The man who was saying 'know what I mean' all the time was a production manager at a company I worked for back in the seventies and he really did say it all the time. The rest of us actually called him 'know what I mean' when we were talking about him. It was really annoying. He used the phrase in exactly the way I have used it in the book.
            
            As I say, I have reduced the recurrence of it under pressure. LOL.

@TonyHarmsworth I don't know but it just doesn't sound too professional.  You are a very good writer. You could say : "Do I explain myself? Or something like that. There are many other expressions you could alternate instead of just repeat the same phrase over and over. That's all  You are very talented and creative. Thumbs up!
