Out of 2058 stories submitted for the Open Novella Contest 2026, “Ms. Miss” has made it to the Longlist or the Top 300. This makes me incredibly happy!
Also, I’m excited to see which stories will win this amazing contest. Honestly, I’m no longer expecting that I will win because out of all three rounds, my story has never been included in the Round Winners or Ambassador Picks.
Still, I hope you’ll give it a read! It’s also in the process of becoming a novel for the Wattys so if that’s more your style, keep an eye out and I’ll upload the novel version before the end of July.

Ms. Miss hit 2 achievements today! One, it qualified for ONC's 3rd Round and is now being considered for the Longlist. Two, it passed 4k reads. What a happy day~
To be honest, I've been in a slump these past few weeks. I've been torn between trying to expand Ms. Miss for the Wattys and writing a new story in my native language (Filipino) so instead of doing either... I did nothing.
But with this achievement, I feel like I've been filled with motivation to push through and get over the slump.
