Gadis Pujaan Tengku
I personally think the book is okay. The storyline is present, and it’s not smutty or overly cringe. It carries emotion well, and the plot is good. The language used is beautiful and flows nicely.
However, what disappoints me about the story is the characterization of the male lead. The initial imagination of him was great..handsome, a cold and distant CEO, and rich. But when it comes to the conflict involving the third party who tries to seduce him, he seems to lose all sense of the personality the author initially described. He becomes weak, appearing far from the cold and aloof persona we were led to expect.
In some chapters, he even lies to his wife, making him seem weak, stupid, and lacking the firm resolve I envisioned based on the earlier chapters. Then, suddenly, towards the end of the book, he turns ruthless and kills the person who interfered in their relationship. This inconsistency left me wondering—why was he portrayed as foolish during the crisis?
I admit that I skipped some chapters where his behavior seemed frustrating, and focus on the key points. Overall, the story has potential to be better with a stronger, more consistent development of the male lead’s character.
