Gadis Pujaan Tengku

I personally think the book is okay. The storyline is present, and it’s not smutty or overly cringe. It carries emotion well, and the plot is good. The language used is beautiful and flows nicely.

However, what disappoints me about the story is the characterization of the male lead. The initial imagination of him was great..handsome, a cold and distant CEO, and rich. But when it comes to the conflict involving the third party who tries to seduce him, he seems to lose all sense of the personality the author initially described. He becomes weak, appearing far from the cold and aloof persona we were led to expect.

In some chapters, he even lies to his wife, making him seem weak, stupid, and lacking the firm resolve I envisioned based on the earlier chapters. Then, suddenly, towards the end of the book, he turns ruthless and kills the person who interfered in their relationship. This inconsistency left me wondering—why was he portrayed as foolish during the crisis?

I admit that I skipped some chapters where his behavior seemed frustrating, and focus on the key points. Overall, the story has potential to be better with a stronger, more consistent development of the male lead’s character.

Mafia heir and mafia betrayal.

The second book in the series was a letdown. While the first book had some promise and left readers hanging with a sense of anticipation, the continuation fell flat. At first, it seemed like it would maintain the momentum, but soon, the scenes became repetitive, dragging the plot with unnecessary filler.

Neither the characters nor the story evolved. The male lead, despite being portrayed as a don, comes across as weak and stupid. Similarly, the female lead is overly stubborn, making irrational decisions. Both characters feel one-dimensional and do not undergo any meaningful development throughout the second book.

The second book shouldn't have existed as a full installment. It would have been better to extend the first book with a few more episodes to tie up loose ends, rather than stretch the story unnecessarily. This approach could have preserved the pacing and delivered a more satisfying conclusion.

'Its complicated' is PERFECT!!!!
even the sequel 'its complicated 2' was fantastic. Lot of curses for Nathan along the reading.
