diego has a crush on reader, who is also a jockey, and imagine reader gets hurt somehow like idk they fell or something and then are in a bad mood because of it and they run into diego who notices, and since hes already ahead of the other racers he figures it wont hurt to go over to reader and try to cheer them up with his cheesy dad jokes and puns. bonus points if another racer almost sees that dorky side of him with you and diego is like "FUCK OFF "
