so I don't really want to cry about it on Instagram or Facebook.
but today one of the faces who made my childhood a pleasant experience passed away. though I've never met him in person or ever interacted with him(he's a celebrity and I doubt he knows I exist) his death has hit me just as hard.
Alan Rickman for all intents and purposes was an utterly amazing actor who brought to life one of the most hated characters ever. his portrayal was true to life and completely heart breaking.
my favorite scenes in the movies with Alan Rickman-
one in POA where he pushes Harry, Hermione and Ron behind him to save them from evil Sirius(from his POV) or the one in DH where he cradles a dead Lily in his arms and weeps for what could've been.
my favorite Dumbledore quote apart from the one about Earwax and Vomit flavored beans seems appropriate-" to an organized mind, death is but a next great adventure "
page 394, bezoars, slimy hair, secondhand textbooks, tips on how to find out if my DADA professor is a werewolf, bravery and undying love are a few things Snape has taught me.
once again, thank you Alan Rickman for existing. #RIP
