          If you missed it, I published a short story for Halloween. It's completed on my profile and called The Body in the Basement. Enjoy a YA horror short!
          
          For those of you who are fans of Carter Ortese is Trouble, you're in luck! I am just starting to write the second book in the "loose" series The Boys, called Desmond Moore is Hopeless. That's right! Des is back and starring in his own story with Celia. This Romeo and Juliet story would not die, and it must live on as its own piece! Continue following for updates! I will announce once I have at least 5 chapters live so you all can come back along for the ride!

Hi all! My partner and I have started a podcast on creativity, in case and of you are looking for something to listen to. We've been enjoying our morning coffee together and discussing our creative lives, so we thought: why not record it and see if it inspires anyone else?

          For a writing update: I have finished the daunting task of my Rios outline for the rest of the story. Now, I need to edit some of the pieces that are live to fit the new timeline of the story (minor edits to the season, weather, and a few date changes, so no one has to go back and reread). Then I will be writing the rest of the story.
          
          In order to get these pieces out to you all faster, I am only going to edit everything once through post-writing (normally I do five edits). But NaNoWriMo is very close and I need to switch projects soon. So more Rios will be live within the week, and I will go back and do more thorough editing in December! Happy reading!

Whoa. Carter Ortese is Trouble is DONE.
          
          It has been a long time coming, and I thank you to everyone who has stuck by me. It's been a wild ride, and I still have numerous more edits to go and details to etch into place prior to hitting the publish button on the paperback copy, but there will be a paperback someday. 
          
          For now, Carter Ortese is Trouble is officially done on Wattpad.
          
          I can't believe I hit publish on this for the last time, and it's kind of scary to be moving onto non-Wattpad stories.
          
          Don't worry, though! Desmond Moore is Hopeless will be happening, and you will all see Carter again just through a different lens.
          
          Up next: Finishing my sci-fi futuristic story Dissimulate, then shopping to agents, and then working on my sci-fi horror FERALS. Lots of things, lots of things!

New chapter of Carter Ortese is Trouble is live! Three chapters left unless something changes!

I sat down and did a rough outline for the rest of Carter Ortese is Trouble today. There are ... *drumroll* ... four chapters left in the story. Subject to change if some of the chapters get too long or I feel like there's more of the story left to tell, but I think the outline as stands will work, and I think it's just enough time to wrap up all the odds and ends that are Carter Ortese and Emma Williams.
          
          For those who haven't been reading, it's almost finished, so maybe now is the time to start!

          Fun update on my life: I went camping for the first time in about a decade. I never went as a kid (traveled a lot, but never camped). It was nice to get away from it all and "reset" myself a bit. Being without a phone and internet for several days was a new experience, one that I hope to have again next year.
          
          Shooting stars, seeing an elk up close and personal, having our campsite raided by a small ground squirrel, seeing an abandoned military site.
