Hello! ^_^
Tomorrow officially marks a month since Right After the Drought last had an update on Wattpad.
Hindi naman sa hindi na ako nagsusulat—I still do. I've been writing, but everything stays tucked in my drafts. And honestly, writing offline without publishing right away feels so fulfilling and liberating; it doesn't feel suffocating anymore. Wala na 'yung usual pressure na once I update, I need to rush another chapter agad just for the sake of keeping up—even when my mind and body aren't ready yet. (◍•ᴗ•◍)
Through this slower, quieter process, I've been able to really focus on my writing—fixing errors, elevating each chapter so they don't come off as dull (sana), and revising scenes that used to feel off or awkward. And since there's no pressure weighing on me na, I actually find myself writing more often—squeezing it in whenever I can, kahit gaano ka-busy ang schedule ko sa PUP. ◉‿◉
And honestly? I'm kind of proud of it. My pacing feels smoother now—the words come out easier, the ideas flow better, and I finally feel like I'm doing justice to the story I wanted to tell. Who knows? Maybe this way, I'll finish it without feeling the need to rewrite everything, since I've already been shaping it the way I want from the start. Once I'm confident with my drafts, I might just drop them all at once. (☆▽☆)
Still, even without new updates, RATD keeps getting new reads, and people are still adding it to their reading lists. I honestly don't know how some of you even found it, but I'm so grateful for the support. Knowing that the story still reaches people—even in its pause—makes me want to keep going, to keep getting better. ( ╹▽╹ )
I'll be back soon, promise. If you've been missing Astra and Laxus... just wait for the revised chapters. You might end up missing them even more nyahahaha joke. (≧▽≦)
I love you all. Thank you for staying. ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ
