It was early Autumn in the kingdom of Yuei. The summer warmth was slowly fading out and fighting with the chill breeze of winter. The green leaves and beautiful blossoms were beginning the process of wilting and dying. Many people tend to dislike the season of fall. Considering in early morning the heat would be stifling and unbearable while as dusk began to hit the strong feel of winter air flowed throughout the dying leaves of trees. However, Hitoshi was not many people. He was one person. One strange, awkward person.
Hitoshi used to love the summer. The warm breeze in the early evenings he spent with his late father. His father was a kind and noble man. He worked as the queen’s head general. His father then died of sickness last summer. It had been a little over a year since Hitoshi lost the man who had loved him most. And it had been a little over a year since Hitoshi began to hate the summer.
Hitoshi’s step mother, who his father married not long before his death, was a cruel woman. She had two equally cruel sons. Katsuki and Shoto.
Shoto mostly stayed to himself and his studies, which Hitoshi was grateful for, but Shoto was still cruel in his own way. Shoto usually made Hitoshi fetch his books, do his laundry and clean his room. Hitoshi didn’t hate Shoto as much as he hated Katsuki and stepmother,he actually found Shoto refreshin.. Shoto was kinder than the two, he simply wanted to get his mother's approval by acting cruel. However, whenever Stepmother or Katsuki would injure Hitoshi too much when he was beaten, Shoto would be there to help nurse Hitoshi back to health.
Katsuki, however, Hitoshi would describe as the devil’s long lost son. His piercing red eyes and short temper. Katsuki did more than make Hitoshi clean. Katsuki would punch, kick, berate, and blame Hitoshi. He painted Hitoshi as a villain he never was. Katsuki got Hitoshi awarded with many punishments.
