I have published short stories and poetry and am currently seeking an agent for a historical novel set in the mid-nineteenth century, written while I was taking the Stanford Novel-Writing Program, completed in the fall, 2016. At present I am at work on another historical novel. Previously, I wrote and performed a CBC Radio series of first-person narratives on Saskatchewan history. In 2003 I was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee medal for helping the homeless. In 2012 I graduated with a PhD at the University of Ottawa; my dissertation was on the representation of epidemics in the works of Charles Dickens.
