@Peaceful_Rain_Drops for character inspiration much like Sophia North I'd buy them off of Adobe photo site or 123rf.com That way the photo you choose can be under your right to edit and use in the story. As for flash cards you can use any kind really. I use color coordinated flash cards to help organize the plot twists, character deaths, antagonists plot and so on. There's a ton of authors on YouTube you can search that use this technique and others. I mostly use my journal and brainstorm any ideas to mind throughout the day
