[   feigning sleepiness;   dakoda rubs their eyes with their free hand,   discreetly swiping the tears away before taking the paper.   their scribbling isn't the best as they use their non dominant hand but they manage to write down ..   mask,   then i rest.   insecurity hitting them as they realize that they haven't had a mask on ..   at all.   ]
