they’ll find me again and take me away.

petalinbloom

@reapsowed, they won’t show you. [it’s spoken in riddles, anong’s mind tethered to what is left of what the fae returned to her. the doe is quick on her feet, her wits leading the two of them into the small cavern left between a small bit of leaves that carved out a small hole. just enough for them to sneak through, leading off into a space that seemed much larger than just what’s usually left underneath a tree.] but i can see them, they’re watching us—they want to take me back. perhaps my eyes, or yours.

@petalinbloom, [he doesn’t argue. never with her, it seems. and while his feet are glued to the ground even with her tugging, he eventually moves by his own time. this must have been another one of her moments── matteo didn’t consider himself growing used to them just yet. rather, he was becoming accustomed to the signs] go where? there’s nothing out here, anong.

@reapsowed, them. [anong deadpans. there’s a certain anxiety in her eyes, dark cerulean and onyx swirl against her iris and pupil. there’s a bit of nervousness, staring off into the darkness that goes in—between each tree during this uneasy night. she continues to stare, teeth against the edge of her fingernails. biting them subtly,] hurry— [free hand reaching, grabbing his wrist. an alarmingly tight grip around it.] we need to go.

i’m painting the roses. it’s better red then white, no?

petalinbloom

@reapsowed, [there’s a bit of a frown that juts against the edge of her lip. hand falling short, the brush in—between her fingertips fell heavy as anong comes to an approaching stop.] though the sprites— [the doe pauses, lips pressing together before shoving the paint brush into her pockets. still left thick with red paint, but it didn’t matter to her if the inside of her clothes would be stained as the roses were.] i suppose you’re right.

@petalinbloom, red is out of season. why force them to conform to ways that isn’t in their nature? let the roses be white, anong.
