He drops down beside her like he’s got nowhere else to be, like this isn’t loaded with a hundred things waiting to explode.
“You know, for someone who died, you’ve got a lot of attitude” there’s a grin there—easy, familiar—but it doesn’t quite reach his eyes. He glances sideways at her, studying, measuring.
“…Kinda missed that. The attitude, I mean. The rest of it?” A small shrug. “Could’ve done without.”

Jaye shifted , glancing down at the streets far below as cars streamed past , horns blaring and sirens cutting through the night. The city was loud , restless — alive. It was a place she couldn’t escape , no matter how much she might want to. It was home. A toxic one , maybe , but still hers. “ I just . . . you don’t understand how much I cried , ” she said quietly , moving to sit on the ledge , ankles crossing as her feet dangled over the edge. “ I called out for Bruce . . . for you . . . for anyone. ” Her voice wavered slightly before she steadied it. “ It hurt . . . knowing no one answered. All I could think about was getting back to the cave. ” She looked up at him then , sadness flickering in her eyes despite her effort to hide it. Vulnerability didn’t sit well with her — it never had. “ But mostly . . . I cried out for you , ” she admitted , her voice softer now. “ Over and over until my throat gave out . . . until it hurt to even try. ” Her gaze dropped again , back to the streets below. “ I needed you , Dick. I felt . . . alone. Like I’d been left behind. ”

[@MidnightTrapeze-] / woah, didn’t meant to write so much.. </3 She went back and forth in her head , unsure whether to believe him , but that same weight of hopelessness she’d carried for so long pressed in on her again. Deep down , though , she knew — he wasn’t lying. Would he ever lie to her ? She didn’t think so. He was the only one she still allowed close , the only one she didn’t push away. Something about him made it impossible to turn her back completely. Most of her anger — her venom — was reserved for Bruce. Always Bruce. The truth was , she’d forgiven him . . . in a way. But she couldn’t look him in the eye knowing the clown who killed her was still out there , and he refused to cross that line. It ate at her. The guilt did , too. If she had just listened to him back then , maybe none of this would’ve happened. And Dick . . . everything he went through to find her — it broke something in her to think about it. The desperation , the lengths he must’ve gone. She knew she would’ve done the same for him without hesitation. (1/2)

He lets out a quiet breath through his nose at that—something between a huff and a laugh, like her words landed exactly where they were meant to and he’s choosing not to show how deep “yeah, well,” he mutters, gaze dropping briefly to the street below before coming back to her, steadier this time, “good to know death didn’t fix your sense of humor.”
The smirk tugs at his mouth, faint but real now—familiar in a way that almost softens everything else. Almost. But it doesn’t last. Her words settle in, and you can see the shift—subtle, but there. His shoulders square just slightly, the ease thinning out into something more honest, more exposed.
“I did look for you” no bite to it this time. No sharp edge. Just quiet truth “every lead. Every rumor. I went places I shouldn’t have, asked questions that got me in trouble just for saying your name out loud.” His jaw tightens for a second before he reins it back in. “I didn’t stop because I didn’t care, Jaye. I stopped because there was nothing left to find.”
A beat. The city noise fills it, distant and useless. Then, softer—like he regrets saying any of that out loud “…and if you were out there the whole time, choosing not to be found?” He tilts his head slightly, studying her again, but there’s no accusation in it—just something heavier. “That’s not on me” he shifts his weight, leaning back against the ledge beside her, close but not crowding. Not pushing.
Her last comment lingers, though—and this time, the corner of his mouth lifts just a little more “ugly face, huh?” he echoes, glancing at her sidelong. “You used to be more creative than that. Guess coming back from the dead dulled your edge” a pause—then quieter, almost slipping out before he can filter it—
“…You stuck in mine too” he doesn’t look at her when he says it. Just watches the skyline, jaw set like he’s not sure what to do with the fact that she’s actually here.
/ she has a fatson todd plush somewhere in her apartment, teehee.. she calls it her "mini me"..
Bruce and Terry were working on repairing the batsuit late. The bat cave almost the same as it had always been aside from a more advanced bat computer. However ace perked up hearing the main entrance open and close the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs
@redops "Hmm that is not what I expected but not totally out of the realm of possibilities " he turned to look as Bruce was already on the bat computer searching for temporal anomalies in recent days. And sure enough one pulse occured two days ago at the powers building. Terry's jaw tightened "figures." He muttered as he went and began to suit up. The all black batsuit with red bat emblem a stroking difference from the classic batsuit.
[@-GothamKnight-] “ I’ve come to the conclusion that I slipped into the wrong timeline , ” she said , folding her arms as her helmet hung loosely from her fingers , her gaze fixed on Terry. “ I figured out I’m not in Gotham anymore — it’s Neo-Gotham. And the year is 2039. ” She let out a quiet scoff , shaking her head slightly. “ None of that sits right with me. ” Her eyes narrowed just a fraction. “ So I want answers. How the hell did this happen — and more importantly , how do I get back ? ” she continued , her tone steady but demanding. “ Because where I’m from . . . you don’t exist. I only started hearing your name when I got here. ” A brief pause. “ So I came to see for myself who you really are. ”
@redops Ace whined softly sensing that this was not a simple visit. As Terry leaned against a wall near the giant penny. "Alright what can I do for ya?" He asked with a slight chuckle watching her movements. Bruce rained silent watching the two talk to each other. Whatever it was clearly it was important.
Alex was stuck in his wolf form, as he had manged to get dragged by Jay as he stared at her
"Jay did you just bring a wolf into here? Wait you mean a werewolf?"
"Jay we arent getting a wolf? Why do you want a wolf as a pet?"
[@TitansLeaderRob] “ Why not ? They’re actually pretty cute — and they could double as a guard dog. In a city like this , that’s not exactly optional when we’re not around. ”
“Hold up- just because I am wearing an older model of the suit doesn’t make me …Unc? I’m very much in my 20’s” He held both hands up and stared at the woman wielding the pistols
@redops “I was going to wear an adult size bird brain costume if you indulged me a little.” he teases her a little while eyeing her a bit “A hooker? I never could picture you as that.” he shrugged and eyed her a bit “fair enough though it would've only been us to know.”
[@Taroon_Summers] “ Oh , what ? Hell no , ” she shot back with a raised brow , a playful edge in her tone. “ What do I look like to you — a damn hooker ? ” A small smirk followed , taking the sting out of it. “ I’m just not into showing that much anymore , I’ll give you that. Feels weird now . . . I’m used to dressing like this. ”
@redops Taroon laughed when she said that and soon look intrigued at her comment “really? This I gotta see now if you'll indulge me.” he says with a smirk as if daring her to wear the tights right now.
"Jay come on you need to go inside." Spoke dick protectively
