About your question, I do know a good reference on LGBT culture in colonial Philippines, it's a book tho—"The Philippine Gay Culture" by J. Neil Garcia. But it has a shortened version in the form an article in this link:

He focused more on male homosexuality, which was the major target of Spanish bans back then. Not to mention, they were especially unkind to babaylans as well, who were mostly trans women and bisexual men. It's a good read, I think, very comprehensive.
Hope the article gives you answers, and the book, btw, was published by UP Press. So, I think it's available in some public libraries here in Ph.
