            their  normal  expression  seemed  to  soften  at  his  tone   ,   a  pink  hue  daring  to  dust  their  cheeks   ,   something  they  scolded  themselves  over  internally   .   ❝      it  truly  has  been  longer  than  usual   . .   i   . . .   missed   . .   you  too   ,   tanjirou   .   ❞   their  gaze  that  strayed  to  the  ground  below  them  out  of  a  bashful  nature  turned  back  upwards  to  look  at  the  water  breather  again   ,   surprise  flickering  over  their  facial  features   .   ❝   i  would  like  that   . .   i   —   i  mean   ,   i  suppose  i  have  time  to  do  that   ,   ❞   they  quickly  revised  their  sentence   ,   once  again  mentally  chastising  themselves   .

            there  was  a  certain  sense  of  gratitude  that  flickered  through  their  once  scowled  expression   ,   azure  hues  softening  ever  so  slightly   .   their  eyes  searched  his  features  for  a  moment  before  a  tremulous  breath  escaped  their  lips   ,   and  with  a  deliberate  turn  of  the  head   ,   they  redirected  their  gaze  downward   ,   veiling  their  emotions   .  there  was  an  attempt  to  hide  the  grateful  smile  on  their  face  by  bringing  their  hand  up  to  wipe  a  stray  streak  of  mixed  blood  and  dirt  on  their  cheek   .
            
                        ❝   . . .   alright   ,   you   . . .   seem  to  be  certain  about  this   ,   then  i  suppose    . . .   i   'll   allow  it   . .   ❞   they  almost  brought  themselves  to  say  that  they  /needed/  the  assist   . . .   but  the  words  seemed  to  die  on  their  lips  before  they  could   .

            mizuki  had  flashed  a  brief  smile   ,   a  genuine  one  for  once   ,   upon  seeing  their  comrade   ,   let  alone  their  belonging  again   .   something  always  felt  better  inside  of  them  when  he  was  near  after  all   .   their  blue  hues  flashed  from  his  own  to  his  now  extended  hand   ,   seemingly  hesitating  for  a  moment  before  they  reached  out  and  took  the  small  charm  from  tanjirou   .   "   important  doesn   't   even  begin  to  explain  it   . . .   "   they  gave  a  small  laugh  before  quickly  retying  the  charm  to  their  katanas  handle   .   "   . . .   thanks  for  returning  it  to  me   ,   i  really  do  owe  you  for  this   ,   kamado   . . .   just  say  the  word  whenever  you  need  something   ,   alright   ?    "

            “mhm.” tanjiro gave a small nod when mizuki nakano had recognized him. he had been slightly surprised, but it was a good type. one that made him feel just a bit more warm. he grinned when he also noted the recognition for what he was holding, letting out a soft chuckle in response. “of course!! don’t worry about it.. i figured it must have been important.” he extended a hand, humming softly as if to tell the other to take it.

"   mizuki  nakanos  head  turned  when  they  heard  the  familiar  voice  of  tanjirou  kamado   ,   noting  the  some  thing  he  was  holding  in  his  hand   .   which  they  could  only  guess  was  their  lost  charm  they  kept  tied  around  their  katana  normally   .   the  reflection  slayer  couldn   't   help  but  have  their  eyes  light  up  when  they  noticed  he  had  come  to  return  it  to  them   ,   a  faint  sigh  of  relief  wanting  to  be  let  out   .   "   ah   . .   thank  you   ,   i   've   been  looking  for  it  everywhere   ,   in  truth   ,   was  worried  i  had  lost  it  forever   . . .   "   they  muttered  out  quietly   ,   hand  running  through  their  hair   .

╰>   mizuki  suffers  from  sleep  terrors
            which  often  keeps  them  up  at  night   -
            they   're   used  to  it  however  if  their  partner
            can   't   fall  asleep   ,   they   'd   immediately  become
            worrisome   .   one  of  their  things  they  usually  do
            to  help  their  partner  to  sleep  is  hum  to  them   .
            mizuki   's   parents  used  to  hum  a  lullaby  to  miz
            and  their  siblings  every  night   ,   so  they  usually  hum
            the  same  one   .   believe  it  or  not  it  usually  helps
            them  calm  down  as  well  as  the  melody  of  the  lullaby
            goes  with  quite  fond  memories  they  have  of  their  family   .

            rather  enjoy  their  walks  into  towns   .
            when  they   're   dispatched  to  go  find
            a  demon   ,   after  they   've   completed
            their  goal   (   mercilessly  mind  you   )
            they  usually  take  a  day  or  two  before
            finally  going  back  if  its  a  town  they  hadn   't
            been  to  before   .   they   'd   get  a  room  at  the
            inn  just  to  go  out  late  to  all  the  midnight  shoppes
            and  festivals  that  were  being  held   .   
            despite  their  cold  demeanor   ,   they  rather  like  these
            festivals   . . .   and  they  have  a  /huge/   soft  spot   /
            interest  in  fireworks  and  how  they  work   .   take
            them  to  see  a  firework  show  and  they   'd   honestly
            probably  fall  head  over  heels  with  you  right  then  and
            there   .

╰>   mizuki  has  a  strange  addiction
            to  anything  matcha  flavoured   -
            will  absolutely  take  /anything/  you
            give  them  if  it  has  matcha  in  it   .
            says  its  one  of  their  favourites  and
            therefore  would  only  drink
            matcha  and  chai  tea  if  they  could   .
