The ice was heavy in dragon-spine, heaving his breath , making his chest tight, the dripping water freezing with the weather, making his clothes heavy and his step with a deep footprint on the ground.
He walked slowly, the howls of the wind that night causing the tremble coursing through his skin to sink into his bones .
A hand shaking grabbing to anything it could as he found his way to the side of the small city.
The soft ringing of the bell echoed into the tavern, one that is meant to be closing eventually yet to him was an inn for the evening, considering his body fell against the table nearest to the warmest location of the area.
