also with stories, i hate happy endings, especially when it’s a dystopian world.

i read so many carl grime fanfictions and while yes, i enjoy the thought of him staying alive in some cases, i also enjoy his death as it brings character development to a story that was seen as over.

if i had a choice to kill off his love interest (the oc) in the fanfic or him, i’d choose his love interest every time.

not only does it close off the book in an easier, more swallowable way, but i also enjoy how impactful it can be.

when it’s a dystopian world, there should almost never be a happy ending.

in the walking dead; there shouldn’t be a happy ending because there simply can’t be. in the end the walkers will win no matter what. so, closing the story off before the world withers away, even more, leads to a more enjoyable ending. for me, anyway.

happy endings depend on the world the story takes place. yes, all i want is for characters to have their happy endings, but in some cases, a bad ending is also needed.

i do wish however that carl would’ve survived the show. i would’ve loved to see him as a blacksmith and become the leader he was sought out to become. i hate AMC and the walking dead for killing his character off.

          ok goodnight fr lmao

the song of achilles is single-handedly the best book to ever be written. i will shout that sentence with my full chest until the day i die.

i re-read it for the third time and sobbed equally as hard as the last two times i’ve read it.

a book has never made me want to ugly cry yet smile at the same time more than this book tbh. i get so much writing inspiration from it. it’s so beautifully written and truly hurts to read every. single. time.

at first the writing can be confusing, but once you get into it the easier it gets to read and the more poetic it becomes.

i can go on and on about achilles and patroclus’ story and how beautifully written it is in this book.

(the queer representation in this book is unmatched)

it’s 5am i need to sleep, so goodnight,,

but this book will forever be on my mind.
