I really don't get why, not to generalize, some tagalogs portray themselves as superior than their visayan counterparts.When in fact, we all came from the same cave-dwelling,sea-faring,tree-worshipping ancestors. Don't you get it? We are essentially the same people,genetic makeup and all, living under one flag and the privileges it has to offer. Just because we pronounce some words with a slight hard accent, or we came from some far-flung place nobody had heard of before, doesn't make us any less human,and sadly, many fail to see that. We are often looked-down as uncivilized, uneducated, filthy, and dumb animals who belong in the hinterlands, often garnering comments such as: "Ay, may ganito pala sa inyo?" or "Alam mo pala yan?" Truth be hold, we can do just about anything a normal person can do, and dare i say, we can do some things better. We do the same things that you do, eat the same food that you do, and we shit the same shit that you do. For too long has this stigma been allowed to perpetuate and creep into the minds of an ever-naive society, and for too long have my brethren suffered. Maybe it's time to get those heads out of your asses and open your eyes to this reality: WE ARE YOUR EQUALS and thus deserve to be   treated as such.
