@ GreyZone i really liked the book. the language made me able to really be in the 'world' of the book. it was really interesting to read about the signing culture and from that perspective. it makes me question how I treat deaf people in real world, and be more understanding towards them and not generalise that since 'they are deaf they are also dumb'. I wish that you would have focused even more about John's feeling about loneliness in college. how does it hurt inside him. the last section where he dies was a little strange for him it dident relly felt "right" (it came as a 'surprise' because you had described it as things were going better) , but I think if you lay out some more 'signals' earlier the reader will be able to understand, also why did he feel lonely when je could speak to him?
I liked how you changes it to her perspective in the end, but it might be easier if you call that the epilogue- it short of sum up the book. I was about to close the book after the chapter before "called epiloge", and by that you don't miss your readers one chapter down. but it was really good work and hope that you will be able to publish! keep up the good writing!
