Basically 99% of the time when I'm listening to music I'm imagining I'm hanging out with my comfort characters (music makes it easier to do so). I believe something that society needs to be thinking about is that legality doesn't equal morality. Something can be illegal but be completely fine morally, and vice versa. Like, I'm pretty sure somewhere in Texas they're trying to make it illegal to insult a cop - which is just bullshit. "Legality = morality" is such a given mindset in this world we live in, but we need to note that said mindset can easily lead to dictatorships and the enforcement of of oppressive systems.
Another thing: you can't have sex until you're eighteen. I think instead of criminalizing underage sex (because we all know that's not gonna stop minors from doing the dirty), we should be giving everyone a comprehensive sex education starting at maybe around 12 or 13 - *actually* comprehensive, not just the reproduction process. Since we can't stop teens from having sex, we should at least teach them how to do it properly so nothing goes wrong in the process. Can we also talk about how penis-centered modern sex education is? That's something that definitely needs to be fixed.
This is just my take on it though. What do ya'll think?
@repginrt Sorry for giving a whole-ass Ted Talk lol, but yeah, I also agree on not criminalizing underage sex. As long as they were both consenting, not drunk, high, or anything else (or like, 10 years old), then it's not an adult's business. I think the only time where it should be criminalized is if it's a grown adult (above age of consent, or 25, depends on who you classify as an adult) "sleeping" with a minor.
